Beautiful fall day…..

Posted on December 1, 2011

The seasons are changing, but we have lucked out here in Omaha and had a long fall and that makes for a longer outdoor shooting season for me. Again….it doesn’t seem like that long ago when I did Cole’s newborn session….but once again…..time has slipped by me and now this little guy is almost sitting on his own. He is so lucky to have such a great big brother and it was great to see their interactions throughout the session….

Here’s a sneak peek from our beautiful fall day!

Great day to be a kid…..

I love when this family makes appointments with me!! It is a guaranteed good time and Kelbee is such an easy kid to take photos of! He is always a happy, happy boy! Here are just a few from our session! Off to upload the gallery for mom and day! Yay!!

Beautiful family….soon to be growing!!

Almost a Night at the Museum!

Posted on November 28, 2011

I was excited when mom suggested that we go to the local art museum for a photo shoot because #1….sadly I had never been to the Jocelyn Art Museum and it has been on my “to-do” list and #2….the museum was letting us come in on the day they were closed, so we got the whole place to ourselves!! Yippee…..I didn’t have to worry about who was in my background or who to politely ask to scoot over! LOL! Well…..our session started out wonderfully and we took some great shots of everybody….but then the security guard…..let’s just call him “Larry”…….came over to us to inform us he needed us to leave the specific room/hall we were in so he could LOCK UP! Ummmm…..imagine the thoughts that would go through your head as a little one…..and yes…..our fun session became slightly scary for the next 7 minutes as we made our way back to the front of the museum. I’m sure it didn’t help that I mentioned the movie “Night at the Museum” in conversation during this time and I’m sure the thought of artifacts coming to life didn’t help the situation…..I was just glad there wasn’t a dinosaur skeleton there! LOL! “Larry” went about his business locking all the interior doors and once we got to the front of the museum we arrived there only to find they were locked and so that didn’t sit well with the kiddos…..however a nice Jocelyn Museum worker came to our rescue and led us down the escalator and through the back secret halls to the one door left unlocked for us to escape out of ! LOL! It was fun and an adventure and am so glad I was able to be a part of this no matter how things happened…..life’s all about adventure and now we have a great story to go with these photos, right!

Full of fun……

This session nearly didn’t happen as the day of their first session we had a mini blizzard here in Omaha. October and November are my extremely busy months and so we squeezed their session in on another day that ended up being just beautiful since the snow didn’t stay around. Such a cute family…..here’s a sneak peek into our evening!
