I met little Miss Gianna about a week ago and I’m sure mom and dad are anxious to see a sneak peek of her cuteness!! I have to say that that session was the craziest session ever! It was just one of those weeks, I guess and we laughed about it as one thing after another happened. First of all…..my air conditioner is broken and we are patiently waiting for the new one to come in, but a warm house is perfect for a newborn session, right? Well…..because it was a tad humid…..I had the doors propped open and about an hour into the session…..A BIRD FLEW INTO MY HOUSE!! EEEEEKKKK! Lucky for us….it crashed into my wood blinds took a hard left and was headed straight for the open back door…..HOWEVER CRASHED INTO THE WINDOW RIGHT NEXT TO THE OPEN DOOR!! Miss Gianna’s daddy, Ron…..politely lifted up the crusty dog toy that the dazed and confused bird crash landed on and set it free outside. LOL! That whole ordeal lasted only maybe 10 seconds. (whew!) THEN…….ominous clouds blew in……followed by horrendous thunder and a down pour…..WHICH CAUSED MY CEILING TO LEAK! OMG!! What else could happen!? LOL! I did reassure mom and dad that my sessions typically weren’t this wacky. Sheesh! Luckily, Miss Gianna was oblivious to all of this and here are a few of her adorable photos that were taken amidst the chaos! HA!!

Dainty cake smasher!!

Here she is …..the birthday girl…..Miss Grace.  One never knows how a one year old will react to a fabulous, frosting-covered birthday cake when it is put in front of them!! Well…..Miss Grace was oh, so dainty in how she taste tested the oooweee-goooooweeee frosting! First a finger…..then a couple, but by the end…..we had frosting in her hair……and it was GREAT!!

I must be the luckiest photographer ever because every time I open the door…..my client brings in a beautiful baby!! I was especially excited for this session because I knew this little lady’s momma because we went to college together!! (for those of you who don’t know…..I’m also a respiratory therapist and just work on a casual basis at a local hospital!! Respiratory school is where  I met Codi….her momma!!)

This little lady gave us a run for our money, but it  was well worth feeding between every shot and the time was filled with catching up anyways….so it worked out perfectly! A big THANK YOU to Codi for coming to Omaha for the shoot….it was great to see you again after so many years!!  Miss Lucy is beautiful!!
