A day of fishing….

Memorial Day vacation couldn’t have gone any better! The weather was incredible….with sunny days on the lake, hardly any wind and cool evenings.  The kids enjoyed days of fishing where they caught Bluegill, Perch, White Bass & Yellow Bass. The fish were so plentiful that we ended up keeping them and taking them to get cleaned with the anticipation of a fish fry. Mmmmmmmm……the fish was fantastic!

…..and we even squeezed in some boating with great friends!!

I am so excited that I was asked to help out with photographing a special bunch of pups looking for “Forever Homes”! I met up with Cindy and the group The Little White Dog Rescue on Saturday afternoon in Elmwood Park here in Omaha and took pictures of the most adorable little guys. They are  a non-profit organization that is here to care for dogs in a variety of situations….whether it be that they had to be surrendered due to various reasons (financial, illness, etc…) strays saved from shelters, or even the horrible puppy mills that mistreat them solely for financial gain. I was more than happy to lend my time and lens to a great cause!!

All of this wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers that dedicate their time, energy, love  and homes all with the common goal of finding forever homes for these small dogs who have been displaced.

I ventured from my Northwest Omaha home down to Plattsmouth to meet a wonderful friend, Jamie and the newest addition to their family….Miss Giana. One word….adorable!! She was a sleeper and definitely has a closet FULL of girly clothes. (I expected no less, Jamie….good job!)  You see…….she has four older brothers, so the color pink was the color of choice for this little one!

Third time is a charm. We had to reschedule this senior shoot twice due to the wonderful wet weather we have been having here in Omaha. Finally a beautiful day and very beautiful girl….Jocelyn. She was so fun to work with and we had so many laughs….especially regarding our canine friend, Doc that meandered thru and around our shoot. I wanted to post a peek at a few I’ve been working on………
